How to Reach Ageliana Perama Rethymno Crete – Maps

To reach Dalabelos Estate you take the Northern Crete Highway 20 km. due east from Rethimnon, and 56 km. due west from Heraklion.

Upon arrival at the junction of Panormo you will take the road to Perama (8 km.). Once in Perama you follow the Old National Road towards Rethimnon and arrive at the junction of Angeliana (2 km.), and you make a right and start following the private signs of the Dalabelos Estate. Dalabelos Estate is five km. from the beach of Geropotamos, and ten km. from the beach of Panormo. The latter distance could be reduced to three km., however, only if in possession of an off-road vehicle. In any event, one is not further than 5 to 10 minutes away from the nearby pristine beaches.

In very near proximity, about 300 m. due north of the Darabelos Estate, one comes up to the old homestead of Dalabelos which was slowly deserted during the last century due to the building of the Old National Road during the “30’s. Its population created the villages of Angeliana, Metohia Kambou, Sklopiana, Hanothiana, and Hani tou Alexandrou.

This “old” village is your nearest walk but will architecturally take you decades back in time.
